Pheonyx – 6 & 7 Months

I’m behind on my Pheonyx updates, so here’s one reflecting on his sixth and seventh months. I can’t believe that soon he’ll be 8 months old already!

~ Loves to go for walks in the carrier now that we’ve seen some warmer days. The fresh air puts him to sleep after he babbles a while to the trees. He loves to talk away in his little baby language and the whole neighborhood can hear him!

~ Started crawling, first by rolling over and over to get what he wanted, but soon figured out how to army crawl (March 19th, just over 6 months). Now during his seventh month he crawls super fast to find whatever little things he can to put into his mouth. This is stressful and we all have to watch him to see what he will find.

~ His favorite things to play with are strings off of hoodies or the Magna Doodle board. He also loves to find any wires he can. We gave him a measuring tape to play with to satisfy his string obsession as something more safe.

~ Waving hi and bye.

~ Saying, “dada,” “mama,” “auta”, and other things. It sounds sometimes like he tries to say Kesa, “keta” too. 🙂

~ Loves to eat lentil quinoa veggie burgers, applesauce, banana bread, baby puffs, and anything else that he gets to taste. He loves to eat.

~ Sitting nicely on his own now. Can go up into sitting position from belly as well.

~ Starting to try and pull himself up and stand (end of seven months).

~ Very happy and smiley.

~ Sleeps from 9:30 or 10:00 pm – 6:30 or 7:30 am. Wakes 3-7 times a night, but is learning to fall back asleep on his own without nursing.

~ No teeth yet and still very little hair.

My super sweet and special little man! I’m enjoying every day with him so much and hoping time doesn’t pass too fast so that I can enjoy this baby stage fully.

Only wish I weren’t so tired some days.

  1. I love seeing so many of Judah’s clothes on your little sweetie. You take such great photos…I miss capturing so many moments because I’m just not intelligent with my camera. I have to take the time to learn. Pheonyx is SO photogenic! 🙂 I love the one with the crazy black glasses. Such a darling!
