What a creative bunch you and your girls are! I’m sure it isn’t easy planning homeschooling, but it looks like so much fun for them.

It’s funny because I don’t really plan much at all. Right now we are just learning through reading and I make up the lessons after we read a chapter or two. Autumn does work pages artistically to illustrate the lesson instead of just workbooks like we used to and that seems to be going really well. They are the ones who spontaneously come up with most of the creative ideas. They never cease to amaze me! 🙂

🙂 Thanks Aimee! I think I will do these types of posts regularly so that I can look back on our learning and the memories we are making.

We did the moon phases with the same cookies. And I am pretty sure I blogged about it in our family blog. I tried blogging for a few years but my head won’t tolerate too much computer time before migraine takes over.

Nice! 🙂 I know what you mean about being at the computer. I find it very tiring too, to stare at the screen too long. I imagine it must be a lot worse when you have migranes. Hope you are doing well!

Hi,
just sumbled over your website. I really love it. We homschool our four kids. They are now between 11 and 17 and as you said – they come up with the pace and the theme of learning. I love it when they do “their thing”. Being creative is about the best thing we can let them do, as school have a tendency to train that out of them………for many years – then come university – guess what – they want them to be creative again BUT – they dont have it in their system anymore. SAD. All I can say it, enjoy your kids and savour the day. We spend our days in the kitchen most of the time. My daughters plan with me the meals and have also choosen for themselves – a fit and healthy lifestyle with yoga and lots of excersies. They never stop to amaze me in their knowledge about the things that interst them.
Have fun and I will be on your site alot now, checking out ideas to the kitchen.
greetings from Ireland

Thanks for your comment Nicky! I agree that school seems to suck the creative and imaginative sap out of children at a young age. I am happy and feel so grateful to be able to stay home with my girls. Comment anytime. I hope you find some recipes you enjoy too! 🙂
