Our big boy is crawling on all fours and pulling up into standing all over the place. He also loves to roll around and is very mobile in all ways. I think he’s my most go-getter baby yet.

I moved the box spring out of the bedroom and have had the mattress on the floor for sleeping since he started rolling, but he still rolls a ton and tosses and turns in the night so I decided it would be best to try putting him in his crib now.

I always co-slept with all of my kids. I just find it so easy when breastfeeding, but lately I noticed that when I would try and sleep as far away from him on the bed as possible he slept better and woke less often. Having him toss and turn also was keeping me up and I was worried that he would roll off of the bed, even though I have pillows on the floor too and it is only like a 6 inch drop.

We put the crib up in my room and I’ve been putting him in it for the past three nights. Lately, he doesn’t go to bed until 10 or 11pm but when he does go to bed and I lay him gently in the crib he sleeps until 3 or 4 am. After that, I’ve been bringing him back to my bed until morning.

I still haven’t been sleeping good because it’s so different not having him near me. I have been waking up a few times a night just to check on him. I really miss him too and feel sad that his little immobile baby days are over. It was so nice to just cuddle and feed him without him wiggling too much in my arms. This step also reminds me that one day he will wean from breastfeeding as well, so I’m trying to savor these moments.

Time goes so fast! My little man is turning into a big boy and soon enough he will turn one!
