We are still waiting for spring to officially arrive. It has been one long winter with lots and lots of snow!
The sidewalks have rarely been clear enough to walk on because they are either covered with snow or are very icy. Still, I love to see the beauty in all of life and every day. Last week there was a lovely frosting on the trees so the girls and I took a little walk down the street to take some pictures of some of the beauty.
I have also been busy as usual cooking and baking and homeschooling. We are still enjoying lots of soup and homemade bread and buns. Autumn is getting better and better at helping me cook and bake and is really great at making the bread now too.
Kesa is my little sous chef and soup helper. She loves to stir the pot and add the spices. She is also good at helping to chop the vegetables.
We made some delicious whole wheat Cinnamon Sugar Rolls that I am planning on sharing too.
Autumn and Kesa are both doing so well with their schooling. Kesa is turning into quite a little artist and loves to paint and write her own stories.
When daddy has some time, he spends it playing guitar songs for us and is even beginning to teach Autumn some basics.
I have been attempting some spring cleaning and de-cluttering the house and simplifying (something I think I am always working on). Simplicity is so sacred to me and a clean home is truly peaceful. I also love when my kids do not have too much stuff to overstimulate them.
Every afternoon we have been reading together. Reading all of the classic books together with my girls is a goal of mine. Lately we have read The Wizard Of Oz and The Princess and The Goblin. We are now on Peter Pan and have many other titles in mind. I love ordering books for them online. Waiting for the books to arrive in the mail is always something that they (as well as I) look forward to.
In April the girls will have their dance recital and have been practicing hard for it. They love to dance and I love to see them do what they love. Plus, they look very beautiful in their costumes too!
Life is good. We are happy. I am grateful. 🙂
Beautiful! I love Kesa’s hat with the little ears 🙂 Such wonderful art by them and great sharing 🙂 ❤

Thanks! Kesa loves to wear her bear hat all the time. She pretends like she is my little bear. I want to share more on homeschooling and all the beautiful work that they do. 🙂

Thanks! We are studying animals this month and so each day we do a craft along with the animal we are learning about. The mouse buns were from the day we learned about mice. 🙂 I figured we could just shape our buns like a mouse, then we added almonds for ears, raisins for eyes and afterward thought of adding spaghetti for the whiskers.

It certainly does make a difference to have a big sister (my little helpers) around the house. 🙂
