It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

The girls are having a lot of fun playing in the snow.

Throwing it.

And tasting it.

Apparently it tastes like ice cream!

And Autumn can’t get enough of it.

We also have some crazy big icicles on our roof!

The snow and icicles bring a more wintery/Christmasy feeling. I am excited about Christmas this year and actually like the snow (for now).

Speaking of Christmas, we’ve been busy making different Christmas crafts this week and today I wanted to share one of them with you.

We made our own Christmas tree ornaments!

Star Christmas Tree Ornaments

For this craft, you will need

  • colored craft sticks or popsicle sticks (you can paint them if they aren’t colored)
  • tacky glue
  • glue or glitter glue
  • string

First assemble your star, by gluing the sticks together.

Autumn also made rainbow snowflake ornaments.

Allow them to dry for at least an  hour, then decorate them with the glitter glue.

So pretty!

Allow them to dry overnight.

Then, attach a piece of string at the top back of the ornament with a dab of tacky glue and allow them to dry again.

Hang them on your Christmas tree or give them as gifts to friends or relatives.

These turned out so beautifully!

We had a lot of fun making these! Even daddy decided to join in the fun. 🙂

Our tree is up, Christmas songs have been playing over and over around here all week, stockings are hung and wish lists have been made. The girls are very much in the holiday spirit.

There is one thing left for us to do and that is baking! There are so many different things I want to bake, so I will have to narrow it down. Autumn says shortbread is a must. She also loves lemon drop cookies and I want gingerbread. Santa has got to have a variety, so we will be busy!

Hope you are all getting into the spirit of Christmas too and not just the shopping spirit! If you aren’t yet, put some Andy Williams on and go make these ornaments!

Worked for us. 🙂
