Footprint Robin

Today I decided to do another footprint craft with the girls. We made footprint robins as our ode to Spring.

It actually has been quite cold here the past few days. We have been back to our winter coats, hats and mitts, so this craft helped us to focus on better things to come.

You know how they say “the early bird gets the worm?” Well, Autumn’s robin is the early bird. Her foot is so big that her robin turned out to to be a big fat robin.

Kesa’s was a little smaller.

We have made footprint birds before, but not robins.

All we did to make them robins was place the footprint with the big toe facing the bottom of the paper so that we could paint a red belly on them.

I’m not going to give directions for this because it is pretty straight forward. Just glue on an eye and add an orange beak and legs and he should be pretty. ๐Ÿ™‚

These make a lovely addition to our collection of hand and footprint animals, which sure is growing!

And perhaps the most fun part about these footprint crafts is getting to wash your feet in the sink.

Happy Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
