Today Pheonyx is one year old!! That was one wild year!

I never ever thought that I’d have a boy and even had to go for a second ultrasound to be sure before I went out and bought anything blue. Before that everything was pink for years.

Being a mother to my son has been such a special experience and has taught me a lot. I look forward to all of the things it has yet to teach me. 💙

For his birthday, he got his favorite thing, drums! We have a set in out basement that he’s been playing since he was 2-3 months old, but these are more his size.

He also loves apples these days, so momma made him an apple cake from our apples! It has been a great day celebrating!
