Pregnancy Update: Week 37

I can’t believe it! I have only 19 more days to go! Yes, I am now counting the days, not weeks. Here is a belly pic that Autumn took for me this morning.

My belly seems less round now and I think the baby has dropped. I don’t know for sure though, but it feels heavier when I am walking and I am getting a lot more braxton hicks contractions these days too. I hope that it won’t be too much longer now. I have an appointment this Thursday, so I guess that I will know more then. My due date is supposed to be August 7th, but Autumn was 3 days late and Kesa was 5 days late so I am not expecting this one to be on time either.

In other exciting news, my cloth diapers came in the mail! I ended up ordering online and got a real good deal. I got 33 prefold diapers and 6 diaper covers to get me started.

Aren’t these so adorable?

This will be quite an adventure and one that I am terribly excited about! The girls and I have been trying them on their baby dolls to see how they look and also to get Kesa more prepared for being a big sister.

I just have to learn how to wash them, but putting them on is so simple. This is something I definitely feel great about doing for the planet and for my baby as well.

I feel like I have also been swaddling baby dolls day and night as the girls are enjoying their cabbage patches lately more than ever.

As for eating… I am proud to report that I am once again in love with peanut butter! These days I have been eating a lot of peanut and cashew butter on whole grain bread as sandwiches or toast, never ending amounts of fresh fruit (especially bananas and pineapple), tofu bacon, mac and cheese, veggie loaded pizzas, sweet and sour tofu stir fry with brown rice or quinoa and no-bake chocolate peanut butter coconut oaties.

We have all been going out for a walk everyday for an hour still and I plan on keeping that up until I go into labor and beyond. I also got a baby wrap in the mail which I am excited about using. I love walking and just being outside these days especially since we have had such beautiful weather for it.

I have also been doing a lot of swimming since we have been going to the beach at least 3 times a week. I tread water for 20-30 minutes, which is an amazing exercise and so relaxing. I also love just siting and reading on the beach and taking this in.

🙂

  1. Not long now! I think the cloth diapers are such a great idea and I look forward to seeing how it all works out for you. Glad to hear that your walking and swimming nothing like being active even if yoru caring around a bowling ball! I eager wait to hear the news of her birth!

  2. Those diapers are too cute! No doubt they’ll be way more comfortable than disposables too… I’ve heard a lot of new parents dismiss cloth diapers as being too much work. I’ll be interested in seeing how you find the experience.

    • Yes, I am sure it will be a lot of laundry, but since I am a stay at home mom I think it will be fine. We never go too far from home so I think it is totally doable. I can see how it just wouldn’t work for some people though.

  3. FYI tiffany did you know that you dont need to start rinsing the poopy diapers in the toilet until they are on baby cereal? breastmilk poop is water soluble! just a tip from a CD mom of 2.5 years…i keep a garbage can in the washroom with a foot open lid with a removable container in it, if you have a top load you simply take the container out and dump it in the washer, if you have a front load like i do, it might be best to invest in a giant wet bag (diapers.com carries one from gdiapers i think) so you can just throw the whole thing in the wash. i also add half a cup of white vinegar to the wash too, which helps keep the diapers soft. hope you love CDing as much as i do! i cant wait to start out with the tiny tiny diapers again in a few months! looking forward to hearing your news when it happens.
