I have been feeding my soul every morning by reading different spiritual things that appeal to me before the kiddos wake up. I find it so helpful in making me feel at peace with myself and more content as I journey through life seeking balance. It is comforting to know that there are others out there who desire to live conscious soul-centered lives and make a difference.
I recently stumbled upon a newblog that I love. One of her posts was about values and it spoke loudly to me. I printed off this ginormous list of values and took some time to reflect on my top 30. I also used this online dictionary to help define what some of the words meant and chose carefully what resonated with my soul.
Here are my top 30 values.
- Acceptance
- Balance
- Compassion
- Connection
- Consciousness
- Energy
- Excitement
- Freedom
- Gratitude
- Growth
- Health
- Honesty
- Insightfulness
- Inspiration
- Kindness
- Love
- Making a Difference
- Mastery
- Mindfulness
- Modesty
- Nature
- Open-mindedness
- Peace
- Perseverance
- Respect
- Reverence
- Selflessness
- Spirituality
- Strength
- Temperance
I then chose the top ten values. The ones that I could not live without. And arranged them in order.
- Spirituality
- Mindfulness
- Connection
- Peace
- Gratitude
- Perseverance
- Making a Difference
- Selflessness
- Love
- Freedom
I found this list to be so incredibly helpful to me in finding out who I really am and what I really want for my life. It is so easy to get caught up in judgement or comparing ourselves to others and molding ourselves into what we think we should be rather than being who we were born to be. We forget who we really are and what we really value as an individual.
If you feel like feeding your soul and discovering more about yourself then I definitely suggest trying this exercise. You may even want to hang up this list where you can see it as a reminder to yourself of what you truly value and to help you get back to your true self when life seems rough or you find yourself feeling down.
If you feel like sharing yours below with me, feel free to do so! I would love to hear from you. ๐
Much Love,
its beautiful to see people reflect such amazing emotions, and I thank you for such encouraging exercise. such a simple and nice way to identify, but hopefully more people are able to apply instead of reading, liking, and moving forward to the next entertaining subject ๐
Appreciate you sentiments

Never be afraid to reflect such true emotions, how else are we suppose to evolve and rise above the occasion while having a better view on the bigger picture. no one can stop you when you know you are right! ๐

Great post, and very interesting. Wanted to do it for me, only problem is that Iยดm not native English, so basically I have to look up almost every word on the 300something-values-list. Some things are rather confusing. Where is the difference between abundance and affluence? Or accomplishment/achievement. I always thought they meant the same^^

I just used this dictionary because honestly, I was confused about many of the word meanings myself. I hope that you will give it a try! ๐
